lpstat not working

Make sure that cupsd.conf is at least listening on the localhost
(127.0.0.1) address; any "Port 631", "Listen *:631", or "Listen
127.0.0.1:631" lines will be sufficient.

Also, check to see if you have an alternate server name defined via
the CUPS_SERVER environment variable, ~/.cupsrc file, or
/etc/cups/client.conf file.
