cups backend socket

I have a strange thing:
using SuSE 9.0 with cups 1.1.19. I have a POS-Printer (Epson TM-T88).
Printerconfiguration with socket://192.168.12.30:9100/ which works fine.
But when the paperroll runs out all the printjob disappear after 2-3min
step-by-step in the lpq with "bon is ready" - "no entries". Cups shows the
jobs as completed! When I put in a new roll of paper ALL the printjobs -
which I can't see - are printed.
Where are they in the meantime; can I remove them before the printer goes
online again?
