I have a Kyocera-1900 printer
I get a Vendor ppd-file. Its relevant lines are
*FileVersion: "6.8"
*FormatVersion: "4.3"
*LanguageEncoding: ISOLatin1
*PCFileName: "KM1900EG.PPD"
*LanguageVersion: German
*Product: "(FS-1900)"
*PSVersion: "(2014.108) 1"
*Manufacturer: "Kyocera Mita"
*ModelName: "Kyocera Mita FS-1900 KPDL-2"
*ShortNickName: "Kyocera Mita FS-1900 (KPDL-2)"
*NickName: "Kyocera Mita FS-1900 (KPDL-2)"
.....
Mozilla rejects printing. Comment:
The Postscript interpreter in your printer is 2014.108
The printout requires at leat version 2015 or greater
....
Is there a way to upgrade a ppd-file to a newer Postscript version ?
Or may I dangerously edit the line PSVersion..
Peter
