Another is at my desk, 98SE, Brother 1440, it works fine. I have 2 that are causing problems right now though. Both are Brother 1240's, and one is connected to a 98 machine (maybe se, not positive), and the other is a 95 machine in another building, and I need to use the IP address to connect to it. Both tell me that they are unable to connect to the Samba host, although before I print (or test print in the majority of the cases at the moment) it tells me that it is connected. Most of the time I get this error message: "Unable to connect to SAMBA host, will retry in 60 seconds...: Success", although I have seen Input/Output error as well. Both of these printers use a username/password to connect to it, as does the 1470N. Is there something that usually causes this problem that I am o
verlooking? Thanks for any help you can give.

Ok, at least one printed. I had started one at 10:30 or so, and it
finally printed just before 5. So it took over 6 hrs to print. This
isn't normal is it?
