lpinfo hangs

Hi all,

 I've had cups setup and running quite well for some time on a debian sarge machine.  Then I wanted to migrate my setup to another debian sarge machine and am having problems.  lpinfo -v hangs and displays nothing.  When I access the web interface on port 631 it hangs when i try to add a printer, look at classes, printers, etc.  Any ideas?

I've set the LogLevel to debug2 and don't see anything real obvious; a sample follows this post.

cups version 1.1.20
os: debian sarge, updated recently
