[cups.general] Can't print

Hi-

I recently upgraded to a newer version of cups and can not print. 

In my cups error log I see:
E [20/Jun/2004:23:45:01 -0700] Unable to convert file 0 to printable
format for job 11!
I [20/Jun/2004:23:45:01 -0700] Hint: Do you have ESP Ghostscript
installed?
D [20/Jun/2004:23:45:01 -0700] CancelJob: id = 11

I googled some of the error terms and found a lot of messages about
uncommenting application/octet-stream in mime.types and mime.convs to
enable printing from samba, but I'm not using samba or trying to print
for a windows box, and changing these options has no effect on my
problem.

My gs -h list cups (it's actually the debian gs-esp package).

I don't know where else to look to debug this error. I have debuging
turned up to debug2 in cupsd.conf and I'm still not getting enough
information. Can someone give me a hint as to where to look?

I have the following debian packages installed from debian unstable,
though I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times and less bleeding
edge packages had the same problems:
