ppd for kyocera FS-1020D doesn't like postscript1.0

a old linux program generates postscript1.0-files.
Any ppd-CUPS-queues were able to print these ps-files -
SO FAR! Now the latest ppd-file for kyocera FS-1020D from
http://linuxprinting.org/download/PPD/Kyocera/current/German/Kyocera_Mita_FS-1020_German.ppd 

isn't able to print these: the printer turn on, the LED's
are blinking but suddenly the printer stops.

Any ideas? (ps2ps old.ps new.ps  generates a postscript3.0-file, but
       it's very bad, viewed with gv. I didn't try to print it)
