[cups.general] Trouble compiling AFPL GS 8.11 with psraster

Did you get a solution to this problem. I seem to be having the same problem
with GNU Ghostscript 7.07. But that problem does not seem to exist when I
compile ESP Ghostscript. 

Any suggestions on how to proceed ....

I am using slack-9.1 lnux distro

i downloaded cups from the cvs tree, compiled, and it more or less runs.. it
doesn't like installing printers yet...

I did try compiling ghostscript 8.11 with the patches as described in the
psraster directory. I did the patch configure edit Makefile, make shuffle,
and it barfed:
