Trailing nul Error.

I've been bugged by the 'Unable to send trailing nul to printer: Broken pipe' error for the past week. Google doesn't turn up anything useful, so here I am.

Background:
  * Running cups-1.1.20-r1

  * This works: lp -d myprinter /usr/share/cups/data/testprint.ps

  * Nothing else prints and I get the following in error_log:

"E [02/Jun/2004:11:30:29 +0900] [Job 100] Unable to send trailing nul to printer: Broken pipe"
"E [02/Jun/2004:11:30:29 +0900] [Job 100] Remote host did not accept data file (32)"

  * Turning on the debug flag shows that the jobs are 99% spooled to the printer, but then denied because of the trailing nul.

  * I'm configured on lpd://printerIPaddress:515/raw and use a Generic Postscript driver.

  * I've tried nearly every combination of drivers and interfaces.

  * A friend running Suse 9.1 prints without any problems. I've copied his cupsd.conf and printers.conf files over, but have the same error.
