The error message indicates that the print server is not returning
the final status byte (or is returning a non-zero number).  If the
problem is a timeout issue, you can change the timeout value using
the ?timeout=N option (where N is a number of seconds to wait).

If it isn't a timeout issue but an issue of the print server not
following RFC 1179, you'll have to modify the backend code to not
error out on that condition.
