Printing More than one copy of a job when only one job has been sent

We are finding problems at irregular intervals with the amount of copies that are being sent to the printer via CUPS.

We send one job, and five copies print, if we are doing a sales invoice run it could mean we are printing 5000 pages instead of 1000.  It is becoming very irritating.

Any Ideas???
