DuplexTumble Problem

Hi,
there is a strange behviour of my cups installations:
A: Cups 1.1.19 (on SuSE Linux 9.0)
lpoptions for printername:
Dest printername Duplex=DuplexTumble

B: Cups 1.1.16 (on SuSE Linux 7.2)
lpoptions for printername:
Dest printername Duplex=DuplexTumble

same ppd-File, (HPLJ5SI1.PPD for HP 5 LJ siMX), same printername-entry in printers.conf on both machines.

lpr -Pprintername file.ps
prints a tumbled output on B,
lpr -Pprintername file.ps prints a not-tumbled output via B, if file.ps is a generated by acroread (edited by psbook and pstops). Files generated by dvips print as expected (i.e. ok.).

Any suggestions?
