[cups.general] no default printer...

Hi,
I want to setup CUPS in a way, that _no_ default printer is available as
default:-). Reading the admin manual, FAQs and googleing around I just found
hints on how to _set_ the default printer when a "no possible destination"
error appears... but how can I "cause" this error??

What I tried is:
- on the server site I edited printers.conf and deleted the <Default... from
the first printer
- on the clients there is no default printer in the client.conf (just the
ServerName is specified)

now as root lpstat -d gives "no system default destination" - but as normal
user lpstat -d still is displaying "system default destination: <printers name>

Any hint?

Thanks, Stefan Friedel
