unable to print

Hello.
I can't print, would you help me?
I have a HP656c, perfectly supported; I just installed CUPS version 1.1.20final+cvs20040330-3 on my debian Sid, linux 2.6.5, via apt-get.
Then I tried and configure by means of http://localhost:631/admin, and all seemed fine, since my printer version was already in the list.
Printing as a user succeeded in no output.
Printing test page as root got no ouput too, but this error message:

What's wrong with this?
How can I set the LogLevel to "debug"?

p.s.: usb config on my system should be ok, since my usb modem works, and I loaded this modules: "usblp" "lp"
