tunneling cups through ssh

Hi!

I want to print on a remote cups-server. I have ssh-access to the remote
net and have setup up a local forward to the remote port 631:

ssh -X -L 2631:cups.remote.de:631 host.remote.de -f xeyes

In my cupsd.conf I have setup BrowsePoll to poll localhost:2631.

So long, everythings works fine: when I wanna print something, my local
cups finds the printers at the remote site.

But when I send a job to such a printer, the jobs keeps hanging around in
my local queue.

Any ideas what could be wrong here?
