Help with Epson printer on SuSE 9.1

Hello,

I've been trying in vain to configure my Epson Stylus printer to run 
with SuSE 9.1. It is a model that's normally fully supported in Linux 
and, in fact, it worked perfectly, with no input from me, on version 9.0.

I am able to get as far as "Test Connection" in Yast2, whereby a "hello 
world" is duly printed. However, I am unable to get either the CUPS or 
lpd setup (have tried both) to print.

I'm at my wits end here with the stupid thing. Please help. Here's my 
/var/log/cups/error_log. Note the "media tray empty" message; what could 
that be referring to? There is plenty of paper in the thing...
