Thank you for the helpful response. I am puzzeled by the behavior of cupsaddsmb becuase I DO have the correct files already in place. In my /usr/share/cups/drivers I see:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 575573 Oct 29 14:54 ADFONTS.MFM
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 1295840 Oct 29 14:54 ADOBEPS4.DRV
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 196460 Oct 29 14:54 ADOBEPS4.HLP
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 457600 Oct 29 14:54 ADOBEPS5.DLL
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 135680 Oct 29 14:54 ADOBEPSU.DLL
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 18451 Oct 29 14:54 ADOBEPSU.HLP
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 13492 Oct 29 14:54 DEFPRTR2.PPD
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 118128 Oct 29 14:55 ICONLIB.DLL
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 57344 Oct 29 14:55 PSMON.DLL
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 14234 Sep 24 2002 cups5.hlp
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 280268 Jan 3 2004 cupsdrv5.dll
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 219540 Jan 3 2004 cupsui5.dll
Are these not all the necessary files to support Samba driver down load from a cups print server for both Windows 98 and Windows [NT|2000|XP]?
