Fail to cancel job for remote printer on local server

Hi,

my local workstation has learned (udp broadcast) several printers from the print server running cups. Submitting jobs via the local cups process works perfectly. However, cancelling the job on the workstation only removes it from the local cups process, but not from the print server, the local cups does not even connect the remote print server. Is that intentional behaviour?
