renderer command

You obviously use the foomati-rip filter. Edit that beast and change
the line

$debug = 0;

to 

$debug = 1;

and run your print again. 
Then there should be a file
/tmp/foomatic-rip.log
(and another /tmp/foomatic-rip.ps which contains the PS code
fed into the filter).
Look into the log file for the details (or post it for others
to look into).
