Thanks for the pointer, I was not aware of this.
I got around the problem by creating a raw printer in CUPS and using the 
Windows driver for my printer directly. The main advantage was that no 
installation was required on the Windows machine.
I'll keep this point in mind, however, for future use. Thank you.
