HP LaserJet 8150 - multi-bin mailbox support

I just found a PS Driver for the LaserJet 8150. The driver bundle 
contains a .ppd-file which has some entries about the multi-bin mailbox 
in it.
But I guess that won't do the job since the driver needs to know about 
it, right? Or are those configuration directives sufficient to talk to 
the printer via PCL?
I'm a bit confused here, can someone point me to the meaning of those 
.ppd-files?
