[cups.general] EPSON prints half page then form feeds

Are you printing ASCII text only or are there some hex codes in the file?

I am running Cups 1.1.21r2 on a Sun Solaris box. With a EPSON stylus
photo printer and espgs-7.07.1

I am able to print at the lower resolutions 360x360 without a problem
but when I select High resolution 720x720 the page starts to print
(about 1 inch prints ) then it form feeds a couple of pages. After
that it prints page after page of garbage.

Does anyone know how to correct this. I have also tried adding
gimp-print 4.2.6 and tried the extra ppd drivers with no different
results.
