cannot print file with escape sequences

Hello,

My HP Laserjet 8000 DN printers are able to print most files via CUPS.  However, I have one file in particular which will not print via CUPS.  The pdf file prints ok when I use Windows or Xprint.

After the print command is issued, all i get is a brief flash of the green 'data' light on the printer.  Nothing at all gets printed.

Perhaps the file itself is somehow corrupted, but this doesn't make sense because it prints of from Xprint and windows.
