The main problem is, that Windows clients can only print properly, when they connect directly to the printer via IPP (http://printer:631/EPSON_IPP_Printer). Connecting to the printer via Samba or directly via CUPS (http://servername:631/printers/printer) will print, but there seems to be a communication problem between the printer and the client. What happens is, that the printjobs are not deleted from the print-queue and therefore blocking all successive jobs. Only manually deleting the jobs from the queue will fix the problem...until the next job is printed.

Hi, I am printing from Windows XP, with an HP printer. My CUPS server is Linux Enterprise 7.3, and my printer was configured as a Jetdirect printer... I do not see this problem, it works fine.
