The return code (4) is the contents of the global errno in this case ane
means
"interrupted system call", presumably by the timeout alarm. Try to
modify the
device-uri by "...?timeout=nnn", where nnn is the number of seconds. The
default is
300, but you might to inclrease this value significantly.
