hi
don't be angry about my english. ;-)

I use SuSE-Linux-9.1, KDE-3.2.1, cups-1.1.20-103
with a Printer Canon-BJC-240.

I installed 2 printers lp0: canonlp and cups1
my /etc/cups/lpoptions (german):
- - - - -
Default canonlp
Dest cups1 number-up=2 orientation-requested=4
Special An%20Fax%20weiterleiten
Special Erweitertes%20Faxprogramm%20(ksendfax)
Special In%20Datei%20drucken%20(PDF)
Special In%20Datei%20drucken%20(PostScript)
Special PDF-Datei%20verschicken
- - - - - -

My problem:
When I write par example with OpenOffice-writer a file,
export it as *.pdf and convert this file to *.ps, then
I can't print this *.ps-file as
landscape + number-up=2 + columns=2.

All other printing-jobs will be done, but as pretty print
(no landscape) and only for "number-up=1"

But - par example -:
Downloading a *.pdf-file (may be 100 pages) and
convert them to a *.ps-file myself, I can print it as
landscape + number-up=2 + columns=2

It will be done by the printer "cups1" with filters
(out of KDE -> Control-Center -> Yast2-Moduls
-> Hardware -> printers) like /etc/cups/lpoptions:
"Dest cups1 number-up=2 orientation-requested=4"
(without extras for "columns=2") through KGhostView.
I hope, it is known.

What should I do better?
Many thanks for helping.

Bernd
