Unable to convert file 0 to printable format

You do realize they make it almost impossible to run this on your own
so you will just give up and pay for the ESP Print Pro, right? That's
why they never answer these questions about how to fix this problem.
I have it too. I guess we are expected to go to the source and hack
in our own error code. Has anybody started that project yet? Sort of
a espgs_ng? I get client-error-impossible-error when using the web
interface, lppasswd uses the wrong group for root (sys when I chose
lp in the configure), etc. I installed the espgs 7.07.1 and cups 1.1.23 from source without x or gimp print and it appears it just won't work that way. If we are required to have gimp print, then they need to just mandate that and get rid of the configure option to turn it off.

I'd go back to what we all know works great (LPRng + HP Laserjet with hardware Postscript, no web administration interface) but my boss has decided hardware postscript is a luxury we cannot afford. Great, so we blow a month of our time debugging this software and that's cheaper?

The logging at debug2 does not give anything useful, and adds taunts
about "Did you install ESP Ghostscript?" just to drive us crazy.

This is all over the forums spanning months and versions of the software but not a peep out of anyone on how to actually fix the problem, except of course shelling out megabucks for ESP Print Pro.

:-(
