[cups.general] Delay in printing job processing time.

Hi all,

We've new IBM xSeries 236 intel server with RHEL 3.0 Updates 3.0
installed and connected to network printer through CUPS using LPD for
print services, This new server going to replace old intel (Pentium
II) pc running Sun OS.

The problem: The Old Intel pc (Sun OS) process the printing job in
less than two minutes, while the new IBM server processing the same
job in more than 4 minutes !!!

any suggesstions to solve this delay ?

Note: Print jobs size 1GB to 3GB
