It depends. First, set the log level to debug2, thus you'll get a dump
of the 
control file statements in the error log. Then read the manual of your
printer
and make check which of the statements won't be accepted by your
printer.

Note: the LPD protocol is not a real (widely accepted) standard; there
are numerous
dialects of it around.
