If anybody is interested, I created a new backend "redirect" which can be
configured by "redirect.conf" in $SERVER_ROOT. Basically it is a small
shell script, I use for debugging and multiple other purposes like
circumventing defect printers or avoiding to cancel 800+ print jobs: They
are temporarily redirected to p02 = file:/dev/null.

Just drop me a short note to mailto:shw at schwarzer.d.uunet.de with the
keyword CUPS in subject.
