[cups.bugs] [HIGH] STR #1253: crash upon calling cupsGetPPD function

I am not sure if this is the proper forum to report this bug but since it
occured calling one of your functions i thought i might report this as a
bug. If this is not the proper forum i apologize for my mistake. 
I am currently do development of software that interfaces with cups and
has been using some of the interface functions that cups provide. I
installed a usb printer and registered the printer using CUPS httpd
interface. I wrote a script that calls the function cupsGetPPD(<printer
name>). In this particular case i wanted to retrieve the ppd file that is
registered with the usb printer. Upon calling this function with my
printer name as input parameter i get the following crash message. 
*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid next size (normal): 0x08c0abd0 ***
