We have documentation for this...

Locate the backend directory:

     cups-config --server-bin

This is usually /usr/lib/cups or /usr/libexec/cups.

Then copy the backend to the backend subdirectory:

     cp backend /usr/lib/cups/backend

Finally, restart cupsd:

     /etc/init.d/cups restart

The actual location of the init script may vary...
