That really depends on the printer and network interface.  Parallel
and USB connections to printers generally max out at less than
1MB/sec - for older printers considerably less than that - older HP
printers would not do more than 10k/sec!

Anyways, in general the performance difference will only be visible
for high-speed and large format printers which require large amounts
of data to be sent quickly.  Think 40+ppm laser printers and large
format inkjet (e.g. HP DesignJet, EPSON Stylus Pro) printers...
