What are you agreeing with again? :)

As person new to having a computer at all, let alone one with Linux, 
incomplete directions, or assumptions made by those doing the writing 
just leaves you wondering sometimes why you got this electronics filled, 
plastic encased paperweight for in the first place.

It sounds like you're volunteering yourself to improve the 
documentation. You do realise that that's how documentation gets 
written, right?
