Please refer this bug to the SuSE and Linuxprinting folks, who are
responsible for bugs in SuSE's version of CUPS and for the Foomatic driver
you are using, respectively.

Standard, conforming versions of CUPS and CUPS drivers do not exhibit this
problem.
