cups 1.1.23: get Printer-Status via API ...

thank you for the information.

Indeed the printer is connected via usb-port (... don't ask me why ...) to the workstation.

But I'm a little bit confused now. I thought, the whole cups-print functionality runs via ipp as "communication layer" indenpendet on which port the device is connected. Isn't it?
