Error Printing on LX300 (dot matrix) in DOS.

Hello world,

I have a small office server working as file and print server.

I´m using Conectiva Linux 10 and Samba 3.0.10 and CUPS 1.1.1.20, 2 windoze 98 clients and 1 XP client.

I have 2 printers attached to this server, 1 Lexmark E310 (laser) and a Epson LX300 (dot Matrix).

No problem printing on Lexmark E310, since I only print in graphical mode. But all jobs remain in windows queue after printing. We have to exclude jobs manually.

But with LX300 I´m in troubles. I use generic escp2 driver in CUPS and the correct driver inWindows clients.

We have a DOS application running on both win98 clients and we are printing capturing a LPT port on client.

The printer cant print first colum on every printing (Only DOS printings), and is not able to print condensed. On graphical printings no problem at all.

When I install the Lx300 on a Windows Box all printings work normally.

It is not a ribbon or paper positionig problem at all.

Does anybody have something like this???
