HP 1320 PPD - paper source options not saved

As a further to my original post...

running this from the console:

lpadmin -p hp1320-parkstone -o InputSlot=Tray2

does not return an error - but the default is not changed.  (I guess the web interface simply runs this command so we expect this behaviour to be the same as the web interface?)
