endless empty pages with laserjet 3p, test page works once

Hello,

ich recently installed cups on debian sarge with a laserjep IIIp printer. After installing the test page prints once, after this the printer just gives me an endless row of empty pages.

i tried cups with gimpprint and foomatic drivers, both show the same behavior.

does anyone knows about this matter or knows an solution?
