[cups.general] Problem with DLink 300U and HP Business Inkjet 1100

Hi,
I have an issue printing to a HP Business InkJet 1100 via a DLink 300U 
port LPT1 (called pr1 on the network).
The Laser Jet 4200 connected to pr2 is fine.

CUPS displays the error "Remote host did not accept data file (32)" AND 
THEN "Remote host did not respond with command status byte after 300 
seconds!" when printing a test page.

Any help appreciated.
