v.1.1.22 disables queue, enable not working (Suse-rpm)

I updated CUPS 1.1.8 / Suse 8.2  to 1.1.22  with 
ftp.suse.com/pub/people/kssingvo/unsupported/CUPS/8.2/RPMS/.
My customer claims now that raw printer queues are not working. Indeed 
the queues are disabled suddenly:

switch_zimmer1:
         printer is on device 'lpd' speed -1
         queuing is enabled
         printing is disabled
         no entries
         daemon present
switch_zimmer2:
         printer is on device 'lpd' speed -1
         queuing is enabled
         printing is disabled
         no entries
         daemon present


lpstat -p switch_zimmer2 -E    seems to work but nothing is enabled.
//usr/bin/enable switch_zimmer2   doesn't work either. I tried to enable 
with  html-frontend port 631. The tools told "is enabled"  - but nothing 
  was enabled. I downgraded to 1.1.8. Now lpstat -p switch_zimmer2 -E
works again. My customer can continue working ...

Why does 1.1.22 disable queue itself? Why is enable not working?
