Landscape not working when using a shared printer

Some more info.
I checked out the latest CVS from apple' site (1.1.23) compiled it and tried printing a page in landscape.
The problem persists.

* Printing via autodetected printer FAILED
* Printing the PDF created by the powerbook on directly on the server PASS
* Printing from the notebook via Samba PASS
