Hello,
Thanks in advance for your time.

Looking for help to get shared printers to remote clients.

Server Mac OSX 10.4.2 with no changes to cupsd.conf other than thru AppleGUI setting up sharing queues via IPP.
Clents Mac OSX 10.4.2

On server's subnet clients automatically obtain shared printers.
On remote subnets clients get nothing automatically.
Remote subnets have no firewalls or data limiting between clients and Server.

On VPN (internet client direct to server) client given server subnet IP address only gets shared printers after adding Browsepoll 192.168.0.2:631 to cupsd.conf (following advice of previous post in this forum)

Looking to do the same for any remote client, however the following is the setup/result:
Client at 192.168.2.10
Server at 192.168.0.2

Add Browsepoll 192.168.0.2:631 to client cupsd.conf

Error returned on client (similar on server)
E [17/Jul/2005:14:33:58 -0400] [cups-polld 192.168.0.2:631] get-printers failed: client-error-forbidden
E [17/Jul/2005:14:34:00 -0400] [cups-polld 192.168.0.2:631] get-classes failed: client-error-forbidden

Any suggestions. I'm lost trying to sift through the general documentation here because I'm much more Apple than UNIX.

Thanks again - Erich
