Cups Queue stop when printer is powered off.. unacceptable!

Hi,

I'm running a small print server which accepts pre-processed jobs from the machines on my network (its too slow to do the filtering itself). However, when the usb printer is powered off and a job is sent to the server the print queue will be stopped and I will have to log into the administration interface to turn it back on. How can I avoid that from happening without having to have the printer powered on 24/7? (it has an idle power rating of 12-20 W so I'd rather not have it running at night where nobody uses it... and i often forget to turn it on, but that's not a problem).

Any ideas?
