using lpoptions w/ MacOS X

Hi,

for some reason I need to preconfigure some options for some of my
printers. My client runs MacOS X. I ran lpoptions to configure the
defaults. Using lpr as printing client, all my options are submitted to
the cups server. Using the printing dialog of any application (e.g.
safari), my lpoptions are ignored.

Is there any way to configure printer defaults with MacOS X?
