CUPS GUI ?

Hello

Is there a way for cups to display a graphical window in which the filter or
the backend can show the status of printing (I heard there is something on
macs that does this called PDE, Print Dialog Extension).

Any hints ?

If this doesn't exist, it will be good for example to use the debug messages
(fprintf(stderr, "DEBUG: ****")) to generate text data that will be piped
into a client GUI which will translate text into messages, progress bars
etc..
