Typically during a day we have 10-15K print jobs numbering 9000. The performance is very very slow. Do any of you have a setup with at least 400 print queues ? I have seen Berkeley lpd implementations having 2000+ print queues, but I am unable to understand why cups is slow.

We found that unsetting the value of MaxJobs from 0 (unlimited) to default fixes the longs delays that I had earlier reported. Is there explanation as to why such behaviour is seen.

Thanks,
