What the hell is CUPS? Since monday my cups 1.1.18 prints any job about
20% longer!!! Letters are cut at the bottom and any char is about 20%
higher. I reinstalled the queue, I copied back the concerning ppd-file
to /etc/cups/ppd from my last backup, .. nothing helps! Where can CUPS
have the order to print any job to my two Kyocera600 20% longer/higher?

Printing to a ps-file is okay. gv shows all normal. Printing this
ps-file by using lpr -P.... the error appears again.

I printed from dirfferent users. I print from OO, from mozilla, ..
It's always the same: any page is zoomed.

Every job to my two kyocera's is printed with a empty sheed of paper
with a little "E" on top left. Every job is processed about 4 secs
longer with my Athlon XP 2000. After about 4 secs later the job reaches
the printer. Who an What the hell is filtering my jobs?

I installed a new printer queue for Kyocera with another name etc. But
it didn't help.

Printing to my inkjet is okay.

Please, how can I delete a printer queue entirely? Deleting it with CUPS
html-Frontend seems not to be enough! Where are filter functions other
than in the ppd file?

(two years ago I was glad to quit lpr/lprng, because is was not modern
an complicated. Now I hate CUPS because it makes what it want. I hope
CUPS will be replaced by a really working printing system one day ...
linux becomes step-by-step like M$ .. installing all new is the fastest
way to solve problems :-( )

thx
Ekkard
