Hi,

I have to play once again with the MAC's in our institute.
So a guest wants to print with his MAC. I used the print setup
selected ipp the name of our printserver, the printque and everything
looked fine. Hi tried to print, but after one page only a error
was printed the the spooler on the mac stopped, too.
Using lpd over the print server shows the same behavior.
Using the printer IP, port 9100 everything is working well.

So how can I monitore the whole process ?
I want to see what the client is sending to the print server,
what the printer server is doing with the data and what is
finaly send to the printer.
Just starting the debug mode would do the job ?
Or is it possible to turn on debuging seperatly for each step ?

I will also try to print from the mac using samba. Samba is
configured to in print raw mode. If it's working this way the
cups server would be in the main focus.
