Hi there,
I'm very pleased to announce the immediate availability of Tea4CUPS
v2.10
Tea4CUPS is a 100% Python written standalone script distributed
under the terms of the GNU General Public License of the Free
Software Foundation.
Tea4CUPS is available free of charge for all through the use of
subversion (svn), or through a 20 Euros yearly subscription to Official
packages.
Tea4CUPS is similar in functionnality to the *nix 'tee' command,
but available as a 100% plug and play generic CUPS backend wrapper.
Tea4CUPS is the Swiss Army's knife of the advanced CUPS administrator.
Tea4CUPS captures print job's datas in their final form before they
are sent to an optional printer (more precisely to an optional CUPS
backend) and at the same time allows you to dispatch these datas to
any number of commands.
Tea4CUPS makes all informations about the current print job, in
particular the job's datas and attributes, available to your own
commands through environment variables.
Your own commands can optionally decide to discard the current print
job instead of printing it. This means for example that you could
probably build a basic print quota solution based on Tea4CUPS and
some scripting in less than an hour.
This new release features :
- The job's billing code, if present (lp -o job-billing=SomeCode file.ps),
is now available through the TEABILLING environment variable.
- The job's IPP message file (usually of the form /var/spool/cups/c?????)
is now available through the TEACONTROLFILE environment variable.
- A simple example showing how to automate the deletion of duplicate
print jobs is now included in the sample configuration file.
- A dedicated mailing list is now available.

Hoping you'll all like this tool as much as I do :-)
Thank you for reading.
